Steven Hammond, LPCC-S - Owner

I am a proud Husband, Father (of three boys), Christian, Counselor, Lifelong Student, Abuse Survivor, and Friend. My passion is helping others, and thankfully over my past 13 years of experience in mental health work and schooling, I have been able to make my passion a career. I believe every person has strengths to be tapped into and the ability to make changes in their lives, and I enjoy being a witness and aid to that change. I graduated with two master's in both school and mental health counseling, and currently hold an LPCC-S license in KY and look forward to helping you overcome obstacles in your own life through my education and experience.

Caroline Wilson, LPCA

I am a Christian, wife, and mother to two boys, who is a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate. I have always had a passion for learning and caring for others. I felt a personal calling to counseling during my undergrad in psychology as I also experienced faith growth. I graduated with my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Winebrenner Theological Seminary. I am honored to serve clients of all backgrounds at Phoenix Rising Counseling.

I bring 3.5 years of counseling experience, supported by a strong educational background: a B.A. in Psychology from Southern Utah University, an M.S. in Physical Therapy from VCU/MCV, and an M.Ed. in Counseling from Lincoln Memorial University. My experience and passion is centered on working with children and adolescents, including those with autism and developmental differences, to support emotional regulation, communication, and positive growth. Before counseling, I spent 18 years as a physical therapist in rehabilitation and skilled nursing settings giving me a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection and informs my holistic approach to care. Outside of my work, I enjoy reading, singing, and exploring family history. These interests help me stay grounded, creative, and connected, which values I also bring into my counseling practice. My goal is to empower each client with practical tools for a more fulfilling life.

Adam Reed, Chief Operations Officer

I am a graduate of Berea College with 5 years of administrative office experience. I am a Christian and husband with a passion for assisting people on their journey through life and with God. I've experienced what counseling can do for myself and others and believe in the healing properties it can provide. I also want to help make Phoenix Rising Counseling the place people know they can go to for the mental health and healing they need.
